If we are talking the ultimate ski road trip, there is nothing more epic than traveling the Powder Highway in Canada’s British Columbia!  Loaded with resorts such as Fernie, Kicking Horse, and Revelstoke complimented by world-class heliskiing makes the Canadian Rockies a destination of a lifetime.  If your on a budget, fear no more- the Canadian Dollar is so low you will save loads of loonies and toonies!

Do you crave steep and deep resort skiing in the comfort of the West?  Look no further than Jackson, Wyoming.  Not only are the Tetons a natural beauty, they are the home to one of America’s best resorts, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.  Known for its challenging terrain and mind-blowing powder, this destination will not disappoint.  If you are equipped for off-piste adventures, Jackson has an open-gate policy that serves up some of the best lift-serviced backcountry in the states.  Make sure to head into town and saddle up at The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar for a refresher after your day on the slopes!
Insider’s Tip: Avoid the powder panic – head over the pass to Idaho on a powder day (or the next 3 days after) to rip Grand Targhee Resort!  Sure it doesn’t have the steep terrain of it’s neighbor but you can’t beat the short lift lines and endless powder turns!


If getting a faceshot full of JAPOW isn’t on your bucket list, you should probably reconsider!  Japan is known for it’s light, champagne powder…and lots of it!  You won’t find the steeps and cliffs of some of these other destinations but don’t miss out on the DEEP tree skiing!  To get the most out of your trip, we recommend hiring a guide to show you around Hokkaido’s stellar backcountry.  Get out there, soak in an Onsen and fill up on great Asian cuisine!
Insider’s Tip: If you are heading to Niseko, stop in Bar Gyu, also known as The Fridge Door Bar for apres cocktails!  Look for a red freezer door in between a snowbank, duck your head and enjoy some Japanese whiskey!

If you are looking for a once in a lifetime experience, go chase your endless winter in Portillo, Chile!  Fly into Santiago and drive about two hours North to find a paradise tucked within the Andes.  Ski Portillo is surrounded by 19,000-foot peaks and provides 1,200 acres of terrain!  Soak in those Chilean views and enjoy their vast bowls and chutes!  Portillo offers some of the best backcountry skiing in South America.  If you are fit for the hike, don’t miss the famed Super C Couloir – a chute that descends over 4,000 feet that you can brag about for life!
Insider’s Tip : Make sure to book early and stay at the Iconic Hotel Portillo – relax and indulge in their hot tub overlooking Laguna del Inca!

Lying at the foot of Mont Blanc- the tallest mountain in Western Europe- Chamonix is an avid skier’s dream. It is considered by most to be the birthplace of extreme skiing after hosting the first Winter Olympics in 1924.  Head to this European destination for steep, challenging terrain complimented with some of the most dramatic mountain scenery out there!  “Cham” is justifiably renowned for it’s off-piste adventures.  For the ultimate backcountry experience, complete the Haute Route – a 120km tour between Chamonix and Zermatt, Switzerland.  You won’t experience a more picteresque scene with this tour passing over Pigne d’Arolla and traveling under the face of the Matterhorn!
