Plus – you can’t beat the accessibility, located only 45 minutes from an international airport. While this quaint town is small and sweet – it’s always better to be in the know. That’s why we compiled a list of our favorite skiing, food and bars for you to enjoy. What are you waiting for? Get out there and experience Park City like a local!
PC: Park City Mountain
The first thing you need to know about the skiing in Park City is that you have nothing but options. Not only is it home to the biggest ski resort in the US, but you have the luxury of Deer Valley a stone throw away. Feeling sendy and want some more steeps? Drive less than an hour and you can be at 4 world-class resorts in the Cottonwoods including Snowbird, Alta, Solitude and Brighton. Park City has terrain for every ability and is the perfect mountain to bring your family or group of friends!
- For Beginners: Start on the Park City side and rip around the Bonanza and Silverlode lifts. Take a long cruiser from top to bottom on Home Run!
- For Intermediate: There are great options on both sides of the resort but Canyons has a wide variety of blue runs to enjoy! Go catch some dreams on the Dream Catcher lift and ski around Tombstone for some steeper groomers with options to poke around in the trees. Want some views? Head up the McConkey’s Lift and cruise down Georgianna!
- Expert: Want to ski some bowls? Head up to Jupiter and lap this famed 2-seater lift. Hike up to the peak or out to Pioneer Ridge for some long lines! On the Canyons side? Enjoy 9990! Remember to pack your avy gear if you are heading out the gates.
Let’s be real – half of vacations are about the grub! For those of you who are on a food tour, you’ve picked the right destination. We’ve laid out our favorite spots for every craving!
BEST COFFEE: ATTICUS COFFEE, BOOKS AND TEAHOUSE
BEST SANDWICH: BACK DOOR DELI
There’s nothing like a quality sandwich and these guys know how to do it right. The local’s favorite is #41 – the hottest italian West of the Mississippi! Note: if it’s a powder day you may want to check somewhere else because Colter and Meg would rather be snowboarding than making you sandwiches.
BEST RESTAURANT: YUKI YAMA SUSHI
BEST COCKTAILS: HIGH WEST DISTILLERY
The only ski-on ski-off whiskey distillery in the World is located in Park City! Don’t skip out on High West, located right at the bottom of the town runs. Great food, great spirits, great staff. Take my word for it – get the “Old Man’s Boots”!
A trip to Park City would not be complete without a night out on the town! The bar scene is popping and has a variety of vibes to cater to anyone. Live music, quality libations and down right dives make Main Street a special place to get saucy after the slopes!
BEST DIVE: O’SHUCKS BAR AND GRILL
If you are into a more divey scene, skip the swanky spots and stop by O’Shucks. Park City locals flock to this peanut joint on Tuesdays where you can enjoy a 32-ounce schooner and burger for $3 each! This ill-lighted bar will keep you occupied with pool, shuffleboard and the classic Big Buck Hunter.
BEST LIVE MUSIC: O.P. ROCKWELL
Is there anything better than some live music after a stellar day on the slopes? Get into O.P. Rockwell for great tunes and even better cocktails. Jam out to anything from big name bands to local legends!
BEST APRES: CORNER STORE
If late night isn’t in the cards for you, get your apres on at the Corner Store. A local favorite, this on-the-mountain bar has live music and a great patio!
