Do you crave steep and deep resort skiing in the comfort of the West?  Look no further than Jackson, Wyoming.  Not only are the Tetons a natural beauty, they are the home to one of America’s best resorts, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.  Known for its challenging terrain and mind-blowing powder, this destination will not disappoint.  If you are equipped for off-piste adventures, Jackson has an open-gate policy that serves up some of the best lift-serviced backcountry in the states.  Make sure to head into town and saddle up at The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar for a refresher after your day on the slopes!
Insider’s Tip: Avoid the powder panic – head over the pass to Idaho on a powder day (or the next 3 days after) to rip Grand Targhee Resort!  Sure it doesn’t have the steep terrain of it’s neighbor but you can’t beat the short lift lines and endless powder turns!

EXPERIENCE THE JAPOW

If getting a faceshot full of JAPOW isn’t on your bucket list, you should probably reconsider!  Japan is known for it’s light, champagne powder…and lots of it!  You won’t find the steeps and cliffs of some of these other destinations but don’t miss out on the DEEP tree skiing!  To get the most out of your trip, we recommend hiring a guide to show you around Hokkaido’s stellar backcountry.  Get out there, soak in an Onsen and fill up on great Asian cuisine!
Insider’s Tip: If you are heading to Niseko, stop in Bar Gyu, also known as The Fridge Door Bar for apres cocktails!  Look for a red freezer door in between a snowbank, duck your head and enjoy some Japanese whiskey!
